The Battles for Chattanooga Museum
Located just minutes away from Rock City this emersive Civil War expereince will teach your class about the Chattanooga areas historic battles during the Civil War.  This spectacular three-dimensional electronic map presents details of this rich history with 5,000 miniature soldiers, 650 lights and sound effects.  Also walking distance from Point Park, a national monument devoted to the Battle Above the Clouds.

Things groups should know about Rock City Gardens

  • Group Tours are offered for 15 or more paying guests.
  • Group Tours require an advance reservation.
  • Group Tour Leaders should have a final head count upon arrival.
  • Group Tours should allow approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours for the visit
  • There are restrooms conveniently located along the Enchanted Trail, in the Big Rock Cafe and outside Rock City Gardens near the drop off/pick-up for buses.
  • The walk through Rock City's Enchanted Trail is 3/4 of mile on flat rocks with numerous steps.
  • Rock City Gardens' Enchanted Trail is open rain or shine. Ponchos are available for guests who wish to explore the trail during wet weather.
  • Rock City Gardens is open everyday except December 25th.
  • Rock City Gardens is conveniently located only 15 minutes from I-24, I-75, and I-59.
  • Rock City Gardens offers special menus for groups who desire to eat lunch or dinner.
  • Free on-site parking is available.
  • Custom itineraries are available.
  • Guide cards for the Enchanted Trail are available in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese and Japanese.
  • Battles for Chattanooga: Allow approximately 45 minutes to an hour for this attraction. Be sure to ask our reservationist about Point Park.

Motorcoach and Bus Parking

  • Rock City Gardens: A convenient drop-off for guests arriving and departing by bus is available with easily accessible parking within in a short walk.
  • Battles for Chattanooga Museum: There is ample parking available for buses within a short walk of the Battles for Chattanooga Museum. The 35-minute multi-media Civil War presentation takes place in a theatre that accommodates 65 people with comfortably padded chairs.
